I agree with KC
I agree with you KC. I think it is repulsive how these poor young women are forced to do these type of jobs; even by their own families! I can't imagine my parents ever believing money is more important then the well being and safety of me. I think part of the problem is the parent. In no sense should they allow their young children to be used for sex in exchange for money. Even if the family is told their children are being sent to work someplace instead of a sex slavery, they should try and get better information and what not on where their children will really be going. I know my family would rather be broke, and even homeless before ever selling me into something so horrible. These parents need to be taught a lesson for allowing their children into such harm. Even if they were promised to not harm their children, they are still being used for sex. And in any sense you look at that situation, it ill always be unacceptable. Goes to show how much money and material things really matter in peoples lives.
America all grown up :)
Also, about what you wrote Mary about how far America has grown, is completely true! I think that it is just amazing how far we have come in becoming better humanists. I can't imagine myself or my sister working in a small space at such a young age, and for that long. It is mind boggling how this was allowed for as long as it was. People should not be treated that way, ever. This isn't and wasn't the caveman era. The government should have had better morals and ethics to ever believe that should be acceptable. Thankfully, now we have better wages and much more appropriate hours. The law that doesn't allow people to work that are under 15 is way better too. I realize the goal in life is to make money and become successful, but life is about much more serious, and enjoyable things than all materialistic things.

I agree with Shaylja
I agree with you. Did men really think women would be pleased with cooking and cleaning for the rest of time? It was bound to happen eventually. I wonder what this world would be like today if the women didn't stand up for what they believed in. Would women be in school, let alone college? Would women even be allowed to have some of the jobs we do today? It makes me feel so very lucky to be able to prove to all, that as a woman I can be just as good as a man. I cant imagine myself without sports, or schooling, or even the jobs I was able to have. This movement was one in my eyes a HUGE society changer. To imagine if the Women rights movement was never passed, is an eye opener for me. I am very thankful and appreciative of those daring women who stood up for the future.
